*screams*
Okay, seriously, I'm really done with the snow... and considering that our forecast is for like 12" through tomorrow afternoon... apparently, being 'done' with the snow means NOTHING.
Anyway. I have nothing particularly exciting to report...
I had a second interview with that high-end kids-fashion retailer downtown. It is the tiniest store in the WORLD. However, they're a pretty big up and coming company... and they like me. BLEH. I have a feeling they're not going to pay much. But. Alas, beggars can't be choosers, right?
My 2nd interview was kind of entertaining... after doing like 'retail scenarios' to see what my answers would be, they handed me a stack of kinds clothes....... and told me to make three outfits. Seriously, it felt like project runway or something. hahah... it was amusing, because this places claim to fame is their really bright colors and bold patterns. Always fun to match 'em up! Anyway. Waiting to hear from them.
Although, Justa called me today to tell me that there is going to be an opening at her place for a receptionist/front desk thing... It'll probably pay in the $12-14/hr range... which is certainly acceptable at this juncture. Plus benefits... plus the hours are nice (sometimes 8-5, but more often noon-8pm or something), and it's right in Williston. SO... certainly going to apply for that - maybe that'll be my saving grace for a bit... although, I think she said it was 4 days a week? Hmm. How can that be? I hear that right, maybe.
What else? Shamrock Fest is shaping up nicely... It looks as though Justa, Holly, My Dad and I are headed down in one car, then Becky's headed down (in her car) via NYC to pick up our New York friend, and meet us at the hotel. Should be a fun weekend (if my dad would just decide he didn't want to go, it would be better... but, he's paying. What can I say. And all in all, he's not that bad).
Speaking of Becky, I got to catch up with her yesterday, which was nice. As it turns out, she's having ALL kinds of luck in her new (ish) job... She's seemingly weaseled her way into being the boss' favorite, so she's been assigned all kinds of trips (Birmingham, San Diego, Minneapolis, Richmond) in the next few months... Certainly there are responsibilities with the trips... but, if all goes well, in June, her boss has promised her a promotion... Can't go wrong with a new title and a big pay bump, huh?
Geesh... In the words of Pearson, "I wish some of her good-job-luck would rub off!"...
*sigh*
Alright. Well. Other than that... there's nothing. Just biding my time... Listening to some new techno that Benge IM'd me. Good times!
Off to make dinner... perhaps more thoughts later.
Oh, incidentally, I watched "Michael Clayton" this afternoon - good movie. Gotta love conspiracies!
