WHAT a weekend. Where to begin.

Now, I must sleeeeeep... It's Irish dinner with my Mom tomorrow! Nothing like celebrating your Irish heritage with a wee bit 'o Corned beef and cabbage and potato soup! Yum!

ShaWell, hey now... it looks like a road trip is on the horizon! (indirectly thanks to tckma for posting about it!)

It seems that on St. Paddy's day weekend there is quite the shindig in our nation's capital - a little thing called The Shamrock Fest !

Something in the neighborhood of 15 stages or something, and all kinds of entertainment... everything from GREAT BIG SEA!!!!!!! and Carbon Leaf to a plethora of irish/celtic punk/rock/folk bands... WOO! Not to mention there are a bunch of famous DJ's (Paul Oakenfold! Yay!), random contests and entertainment... all kinds of good stuff. Picture a big version of a fair... only all Irish themed. (or at least that's the impression I get).

So, how did I manage to wheedle a way to go, you ask? Well. My dad wants to go (I know, I know. But hey, when you have NO $$ you don't look a gift horse in the mouth!), and his woman can't go, and he doesn't want to go alone. SO. I managed to rope Justa into driving (she likes it), then Holly and I will round out the company. AND... the Paternal Unit is going to pay for me! eee!

Who says we never do anything?
