Alrighty. Having said that (and all having read that, yes?), today was uneventful. My student of the day has a lot of 'background noise' (as we call it, referring to non-school related stuff that is effecting his demeanor at school) going on, particularly severe for him, and as a result he was completely oppositional today. "No" and it's derivatives were all I was able to get out of him today, so I spent it outsmarting him. No, you will not go to class? OKAY. So, I get the art teacher to come down to the room where he his, clear out all the occupants and they undergo class where he is. You won't go to class? I'll bring class to you! Muahahaha. NO, you're not going to do your homework, but you're going to go and try to bum cigarettes from one of the legal-age students? OH... HMM. Suddenly, I feel the desire to take a walk (in the bitter cold), and chit-chat about NOTHING to both of you, until you freeze and go in... smokeless. MUAHAHA.
It IS the little things, a lot of days.
Staff meeting from HELL followed that all... *yawn* ... gotta love 2 hour meetings that can't stick to the agenda at hand. Thank god I got a couch seat.
Went for a bit to the post-meeting, staff gathering at Julio's for $2 margarita night. But it was cold, so I tried their "hot spiced cider with butter rum"... and nearly died of taste bud LOVE. SO goooood. Yum yum.
But, suspicion on the street is that two of our coworkers are dating. *sigh*. This is SO going to be an 'I-told-you-so' situation, at some point, if the rumors are in fact, true. Our nice, pleasant clinician has fallen head over heels for our controlling, attention whoring, bitch of an art teacher. In our relatively close-knit work community, she is the only one outcast. You'd think that might be a clue... but. Apparently not. Although, funny enough, despite being controlling, she somehow manages to come off as weak and helpless (manipulative), and as such, seems to have played to his desire to 'fix' people. I think she's become a project of his, as much as he likes someone else to be controlling. WHAT is it that men find SO appealing of these controlling, high maintenance bitchy women?????
Ahh well. To each their own, I suppose. I just am not meant to understand...
Tomorrow could be a VERY long day at work - I've got bi-polar disorder, with PSD, a major abuse/trauma complex, suffering from seasonal depression. That should be fun.
However, tomorrow night, I'm watching my mom's house/dog while she goes off to see her friend play piano... I think, perhaps, an evening of Xbox (or movies?) on the 60" TV is in order..... Anyone wanna come hang out??
*sigh*... so, the days press on, and so do I.... to sleep I go, and maybe tomorrow will bring me some sort of nice surprise......? PLEASE?
