Okay, so. I'm sorry, dear LJ... I haven't updated much of late for a few reasons. There have been some... difficult... issues that have arisen, that I've needed to sort out in my own head, RATHER than verbally puking them out to cyberspace. I feel like now I've gotten a handle on most of those. Also, admittedly, there hasn't been much to say.
I had a 2nd interview today with the Emergency Vet place, where Justa works... She highly recommended me to them, etc.... and how could they refuse a recommendation from their star employee? (seriously, they LOVE her). Plus, I think they're using me as a bit of a bargaining chip... they want Justa to move closer so that she can work more random/flexible shifts, and they know that if *I* get the job, then she WILL move closer, because the both of us (and our crazy dogs) will move in together somewhere in the Williston area. It's okay - I don't mind being used, as long as I get a paycheck. A desperately needed one. Supposedly, I'll find out a decision by Monday/Tuesday coming up.
Incidentally, the retail store that I'd interviewed for last week never called me back. Two interviews and they never bothered to call me back. RUDE.
Also... what else? I've been completely engrossed in The Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind... I put off reading them, despite their popularity, for so long because when you read the back of the book, they sound stupid. The synopsis really doesn't do the books justice. Glad I started though... although I think my eyes may fall out of my head from too much reading. But really, people... What else have I got to do... I'm woefully unemployed. There IS nothing to do. There could be worse uses of my time. (although 800 pages in under 3 days is pretty good, I think. haha).
Alright. Gotta go... I ransacked the paperback store downtown to find book 5&6, used... and now (don't judge), I've got to enter them in my Access Database of all the books I own. You scoff, you laugh, you think me crazy... but when you own this many books, it is HELPFUL. I can sort by author, series, etc... do queries... c'mon, you can see the usefulness, beyond the geekiness, can't you?
Plus... I want to start the next book! hahaha
